Craving for the best kind of fluffy and crispy bhaturas with some lightly spiced chole? Sodhi’s Zaika is a savior in the tricity. If you’ve had food in Delhi, you do know that Sita Ram’s chole bhature are few of the bestest and these were surprisingly close to that. The menu of this outlet might be limited but it surely serves everything upto the mark. The kachoris and stuffed gol gappas were also one of the best I had.
I had:Chole Bhature: These are legitimately one of the best in the tricity and surely a must try. The bhaturas are super fluffy and soft inside, crisp outside. The chole are well balanced and lightly spiced, not too heavy on spices and chillies. They come with a chutney, onion mix and chilli pickle. A plate of these is sheer intoxication.
Khasta Kachoris: Wow is the only word for these. These are urad dal pitthi/ stuffing kachoris with aloo sabzi. Though I usually love pyaaz kachoris nut these are surely the best urad dal kachoris I’ve ever had. Perfectly khasta/ flaky pastry and the urad dal filling was roasted golden to perfection. I could taste the ghee roasted dal in the filling and it wasn’t pwdered but very coarse filling. The aloo sabzi was tangy and low on spices but it didn’t go too well with kachoris. Absolutely loved it.
Stuffed Gol Gappas: These were fresh and yummy suji gol gappas filled with curd, chutneys, chane and topped with sev and grated beetroot.

This place is surely on my list of must try places in Chandigarh majorly because of their chole bhature and do try their kachoris too. The food is light on spices and chilli but not on oil, so you’ll have to ditch your calorie plans but you won’t regret it occasionally. The packaging is decent and pricing is extremely low, averaging around 200 for 2. The quality of ingredients used is good and fresh and everyhing is very decent. Definitely recommended.
