Peach Iced Tea

Peach iced tea with lots of ice, some tea and peaches is the perfect chilly and fruity summery drink relished by everyone at home. Fresh peaches being in season during summers, one can usually find the sweet ones but the best thing being that even the tangy ones can be used to make peach iced tea equally good. Using fresh peaches, the fruity taste is way much elevated than instant iced tea.

Ingredients:

  • 2 big Peaches
  • 2 cups Water
  • 2 tsp. Black Tea Leaves
  • 1 tsp. Green Tea Leaves
  • 6 tsp. Sugar
  • 1 tbsp. lemon juice
  • Few spring Mint (Optional)
  • 2-3 cups Ice Cubes

Method:

  1. Roughly chop the peaches and blend it in a blender.
  2. Heat the water and the blended peaches in a sauce pan and bring it to a boil.
  3. Once the peach and water mixture comes to boil, switch off the flame, add in the tea leaves and mix.
  4. Let the tea brew for 4 minutes in the water or till the tea has released the flavour to your preferance.
  5. Strain the tea leaves and remaining peach pulp using a strainer.
  6. To the strained tea, add in sugar, lemon juice and half of the ice cubes and mix well.
  7. Chill well if you’re preparing in advance. Before serving, add some ice cubes to each glass, pour in the prepared Peach Iced tea and garnish with mint leaves.
