Rule the Rolls- Delhi’s Iconic Khan Chacha

Delhi’s famed Khan Chacha of the Khan Market has now opened an outlet in Sector 8, Chandigarh by the name of Rule the Rolls. Known for their melt in mouth and juicy kebabs, rolls & non vegetarian, food at Khan Chacha is a favourite among Delhi people. With 5 decades old recipies, Halaal meat sourced from delhi and local fresh ingredients, you’ll get the taste exactly like the original ones.

While they serve a wide assortment of non vegetarian rolls, you won’t regret visiting them if you’re a vegetarian. The vegetarian options being kebabs, tikkas & rolls. Though the variety is lesser compared to non vegetarian, but the taste is equally elevated. The best thing about them being that they use Whole Wheat Rumali Rotis to make their rolls healthier.

I Had:

Paneer Tikka Roll (4/5): The roll was filled with big paneer tikka chunks with their secret marinade and a lovely smokey tandoori flavour. The roll was moist enough with tandoori sauces and onion slices and the rumali roti was made up of whole wheat.

Malai Soya Chaap Roll (4.25/5): This one had a filling of soya malai chaap with some creamy sauces and onion slices inside the whole wheat rumali roti. The chaap had the perfect smokey flavour and was cooked to near perfection. Te flavours were well balanced with predominence of cardamom and cream. This roll was my favourite.

Tandoori Soya Chaap Roll (3.75): This one had the filling of soya masala chaap with spicy red marinade, tandoori sauces and onion. This one was on the spiceir side but I felt the spices were mallower. The chaap was cooked perfectly but was a little on the tangier side.

Flavoured Shikanjis (3/5): I tried all their flvours kacha aam, aam panna, jamun and pomegranate. I liked the kacha aam shikanji the most. All had hints of flavours with a shikanji base. Perfect if you want a drink with your rolls but I didn’t find them too exciting or palatable.

  • Taste: 3.75/5
  • Portion: 4/5
  • Service: 3.75/5
  • Price: 4/5

Recommendations: Paneer Tikka Roll, Soya Malai Chaap Roll.

Meal for 2: 500/-

The portion size and the quality of ingredients used was good and the flavours came through. The prices are decent but the service was a little slow. This outlet is surely worth a try for authentic Mughlai as well as a boon for all office goers, with healthier and tastier rolls.
