Tired of eating Veeba and Mayo loaded food around the city, I recently happened to try Illegal Cheese, the newest outlet in the QSR hub of Sector 8 Chandigarh. Their USP being their sauces and cheese that you don’t get anywhere around the city.

The menu is All American with Milkshakes, Coolers, Burgers, Hot Dogs, Pizzas, Fries and more to choose from. With catchy names and some funny ones too, was the first thing to catch my eye here.

I Tried:

Blueberry Cheesecake Milkshake (4.75/5): A balance hard to make with the sweetness of blueberry cheesecake, this one was just perfect. Perfectly sweet, creamy and loaded with icecream with bits of blueberry here & there.

The Green Goblin Burger (4.25/5): Their in-house crisp and juicy vegetable patty with lettuce, tomatoes, onions, spicy mayo & cheese sandwiched in a fresh bun. This one is definitely added to my list of favorite burgers in the city. The juicy, messy and saucy burger is surely something to savor on your cheat day.

Paneer Bhurji Pizza (4.25/5): A lovely innovative fusion pizza they’ve recently introduced off the menu, this one is a must try for vegetarians. Perfectly cooked crisp thin crust, smothered with their in-house pizza sauce, topped with peppers, panner bhurji & a decent amount of cheese. The cheese sauce on the top added up the needed moisture. A perfectly balanced blend of Indian and Italian flavors, total bliss.

Hand Cuffs (3.5/5): The name & concept of curly fries seemed interesting but wasn’t up to my taste. The fries have customisable toppings like cheese sauce, pizza fries, chicken & ranch and many more. The fries however require improvement. They’re soon coming up with foot long fries which will be something very interesting.

If you’re someone who loves cheese like me, this outlet is surely worth trying for their innovative and quirky dishes made fresh from scratch. The flavors were coming through very well and everything used was fresh. The prices are very decent and the staff was very polite & welcoming. Hurry, go grab your portions of illegal cheese.
